What we are most excited and proud about in 2022 so far

Thank you for your support during the first 6 months of 2022 and we look forward to sharing news of upcoming projects and growth as we bring our rock-solid climate solution to scale. Here is an overview of what we are most excited and proud about in 2022 so far:

The latest measurements of Carbon Dioxide in our atmosphere by NASA

🌏 We hired great new talent to our expanding team.
🌏 We published an exciting paper showing that theoretically we can turn ca. 300 million tonnes of CO2 into stone at the Coda Terminal location by 2050.
🌏 We partnered up with EFLA Consulting Engineers for the Coda Terminal FEED study.
🌏 We received the FKA - Félag kvenna í atvinnulífinu Award from the Association of Business Women in Iceland.

''it is important that this new and climate-friendly industry that Carbfix is part of is from the beginning built up with universal equality as a guiding light''
🌏 We joined an international research team, led by Rio Tinto to explore carbon storage potential at the Tamarack nickel joint venture in central Minnesota.
🌏 We received BloombergNEF’s Pioneers award for our unique carbon capture storage method.
🌏 We won two Milestone Prizes in Musk Foundation’sXPRIZE for Carbon Removal with Heirloom and Verdox.
🌏 We were included in the 10 Breakthrough Technologies of 2022 by Massachusetts Institute of Technology Review.
🌏 We partnered up with Iceland Iceland GeoSurvey (ÍSOR)for turning more CO2 permanently into stone in underground formations.
🌏 We started exploring the possibility of applying the Carbfix method to mineralize CO2 in rock formations in Sweden with researchers from Luleå University of Technology.
🌏 We partnered up with Landsvirkjun to help them reach their climate goals of becoming carbon neutral in 2025.
🌏 We are significantly scaling up direct air capture and mineral storage with Climeworks and ON power through project Mammoth.
🌏 We participated in multiple events, moved to a new office, welcomed great scientists and guests from around the world, and were featured in the biggest news outlets in the world.
