CarbFix at the Climate Meeting in Helsinki


The prime Ministers and ministers of the Nordic countries who are responsible for climate issues, met last Friday (January 25) in Helsinki, Finland. The purpose of this meeting is to improve collaboration between these countries in the aim of limiting the increase in global average temperature to 1.5°C. Edda Aradóttir, project manager of CarbFix and coordinator of the EU funded CarbFix2 project, gave an invited presentation on CarbFix as a solution in the fight against climate change. In a joint statement, the Prime Ministers emphasized that the Nordic countries have the political will and technical solutions to take a global lead against climate change.

The Declaration of Nordic Carbon Neutrality

The progress of the measures included in the Declaration and the follow-up procedures will be discussed at the Nordic climate ministers’ meeting in October 2019.
