Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, came to visit the CarbFix at the Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant. Bjarni Bjarnason, CEO of Reykjavík Energy and Dr. Edda Sif Aradóttir Pind, project manager of CarbFix welcomed her. Accompanying her to the visit were the Swedish Minister of Regional Affairs and the Swedish Ambassador. Princess Victoria is particularly passionate about climate change, and she is one of the United Nations Secretary-General's Sustainable Development Goals Advocates.
